Chicken Fried

Told you I'd take some more pictures!

Today I made some fried chicken for supper, I have to say it went pretty well. First I marinated some chicken overnight, then I put a flour mixture on all the pieces.

Then I fried all the chicken in butter. All of a sudden one of the pieces
of chicken exploded.  Bloody mess,  as it were.

Finished product. Yep, your jealous!

Cooking Adventures

Since Sunday, Mom & Dad have been in Oregon, I am pretty sure they'll be back Wednesday.

In their absence, I have been cooking and doing laundry and schoolwork, of course!

Anyways, I have enjoyed my cooking endeavors, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures but I'll tell you what I all made.

On Monday Rebecca and I made meatballs, potatoes, and broccoli.

On Tuesday I am not sure what they had for supper because I was in town all day.

Wednesday I made Dutch Pancakes.

Thursday I made Fettuccine Alfredo with homemade heart attack bread (garlic bread which had a bit to much salt. :P)

And today Rebecca made the other half of the meatballs, also had corn and potatoes with it. May I also add, she is in the middle of exams, so don't think she's lazy. Hehe

Tomorrow I am making fried chicken for the first time. :) Anyways, I will update again later. 

2 Months

It has been exactly 2 whole months since I last posted! Oops!
Even though it's been that long I still am not sure what to write.
How about I tell you what I did on Monday! I went shopping with Mom & Rebecca, it was really fun and we got lots of Christmas presents we also went to Smitty's for lunch. I got a new coat and new winter boots.
I'm glad I went. Anyways, gotta go! Until next time!

So guess what!!We are in Fredricton right now, and finally got to meet Zac! He's a really cute, He's also a pretty content little guy.......... Most of the time. :)
Today we had a very relaxing day.
We watched Netflix for a while, then we had lunch, after that we had a piece of cake. Now we are watching some more Netflix. Anyways better go. :)

New "Do"

Yep, I finally got a much need haircut. :) And I happen to LOVE it! What do YOU think?

Zachary Gordon Nicholson

Alright, so. Guess what!! I am a Tante (aunt) all over again! My sister amanda just a her first baby!! He was born yesterday morning, weighing in at 8lbs 2oz! :) Everybody is doing well. I am pretty sure we are going to thier place on Thursday! So yeah, as far as I know, he's pretty cool. :) God is just awesome!

Bee Attack!!

So, recently we have been having.. a "bug problem".                                       

This is our situation there are bee's coming out of the fire place. 

                                        And when that happens, it's generally my job to kill them. 

As you can see we have one of those fancy bug zappers, it basically electrocutes what ever touches the wire grid. 

Another one bites the dust!!

Change of Name

SO when I created this blog I named it, "Maris Nieuwhof". It was just temporary until I thought of something else. And I did, so as you can see, I named it, "The Adventures of Damaris". :)
Because, really, as you can all see, my life is quite the adventure. Also, it sounds cooler.

Vacation 2011: Plymouth, MA

As you may have already known, Mom & Dad & Caleb & I went on a "field trip" to Plymouth.

            We went to Plymouth Plantation, which is where the first people came to America.

Later, we seen an army truck! Wahoo!

We also went on a ghost tour and most of the time the tour leader was like, "I am feeling something, I think I feel ghost presence." Such fun! 

It was actually hilarious because there was a guy and he believed all this stuff about ghosts & he kept telling everyone about how he lived in a haunted house & how he had very scary ghost encounters. :D

I honestly don't feel any older.
I just feel like my usual self.
But, I am thirteen...
For my birthday, I got some new card making stuff, 3 big Aero Bars, a new bible, the Theodore Boone book I asked for, a cook book by my favorite chef, a new lamp for my room, and a book of knock knock jokes.
Instead of cake, I got apple pie. I don't really like all that sugary icing. So it a fantastic compromise.
Here is my day.
I got up at 7ish, took a shower, made cinnamon rolls, the aunts/uncles/cousins came over, I made cards with Nicolle, had grilled cheese for lunch, made some more cards, went to Nicolle's pool. Came back and had supper, played a little golf with Timbo, had apple pie, opened my presets, watched the movie, "Wild Hogs". Then I went to bed. :)
